Webinar: Acute on Chronic Massive Rotator Cuff Tear in 62 year old Man

Posted on: May 30th, 2024 by Our Team

Shoulder surgeon Dr. Brian Waterman recently participated in a Webinar hosted by Ortho Bullets titled, ‘Acute on Chronic Massive Rotator Cuff Tear in 62 year old Man’. In the webinar, Dr. Waterman and fellow orthopedic surgeons discuss a case study of a 62 year old man with an acute chronic massive rotator cuff tear. Here is a brief description of the patients situation, ‘A 62-year-old active male with a massive acute on chronic rotator cuff tear presents with a history of intermittent shoulder issues. Despite no recollection of a specific injury, he maintains an active lifestyle, frequently engaging in gym workouts, golf, and tennis. Previous relief was achieved with an injection two months prior, primarily alleviating nighttime discomfort. However, a recent incident occurred while reaching for a plate, resulting in a noticeable pop sensation accompanied by intensified pain. While he reports no numbness or tingling, the pain has escalated to the point of disrupting his sleep, prompting his seeking of medical attention.’ Watch the webinar to see Dr. Waterman’s analysis.
